The communications manager oversees outward-facing communications for A Rocha USA.
Specific Duties
- Assists in developing and implementing a strong brand voice across platforms
- Creates and implements social media engagement strategies
- Plans, authors, and produces social media communications and campaigns
- Evaluates and reports on campaigns via established metrics and KPIs
- Drives email newsletter communications
- Manages A Rocha Blog including sourcing, writing, and editing posts
- Assists in producing print collateral (appeals, postcards, etc.) as needed
- Assists in evaluating and editing arocha.us web content
- Oversees online shop order fulfillment process
Additional Functions
- Participates in local A Rocha events and activities as appropriate
- Performs other duties as assigned
Recommended Attributes
- Experience with marketing communications, social media, and visual design
- Strong ability to work well independently/remotely and with a virtual team
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Dedication to completing tasks on time and well
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills
- Knowledge of conservation science, ecology, or sustainability
- Commitment to a faith-based approach to conservation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated production skills for web and print collateral
- Preference given to candidates with strong social media experience
Other Details
- Work will take place remotely. Austin, TX or Nashville, TN are preferred.
- Please note this is a part-time position (.25) or approximately 10hrs a week to start
