What is an
Affiliated Project?

An A Rocha USA Affiliated Project is an independent, long-term, community-based project that aligns with the mission of A Rocha USA, “To live our God’s call to care for creation and equip others to do likewise.” We seek to cultivate fruitful and mutually encouraging relationships with our Affiliated Projects as we communicate, pray, champion one another, and practically support mutual flourishing. Groups can apply to become an Affiliated Project by filling out an information sheet. Learn more here.

The Pacific Rim Institute for Environmental Stewardship

Whidbey Island, Washington

The Pacific Rim Institute (PRI) engages science, culture, and community for ecological restoration. PRI has a decades-long history of scientific research, university-level field study, ongoing ecological restoration, and community education, and models sustainable living practices, including an expansive solar array.

A feature of our partnership with the PRI is our collaboration on a yearlong internship managed by PRI with mentorship support from A Rocha USA. Starting September 2024, interns live for a year on the PRI campus to get environmental work experience, learn practical conservation skills, and have opportunities to develop ecotheological awareness.

Circlewood

Camano Island, Washington

Circlewood is a community of people committed to cultivating a more ecologically-conscious faith.

Our Partners

We collaborate with local groups and organizations to accomplish our shared vision of restoring healthy Texas watersheds and communities, including Texas Parks and Wildlife, Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve, San Marcos Discovery Center, Zilker Botanical Garden, Pease Park, Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center, and more.
